Our Enrichment Program

Academic Enrichment for the Youth!

Welcome to Hearts of Empowerment's Academic Enrichment Program, a dynamic endeavor dedicated to empowering youth across the DC Metropolitan area. Our initiative tackles the barriers hindering marginalized communities, fostering a more inclusive educational environment. Rooted in four foundational pillars: college readiness, mentorship, wellness, and standardized testing — our program offers a comprehensive approach to holistic development. Through personalized support, including college application assistance, skill-building workshops, and mentorship from seasoned professionals, we pave the way for academic and career success. Prioritizing mental health, we integrate wellness strategies to fortify emotional resilience and academic prowess. Moreover, our tailored SAT Prep classes equip students with the tools needed to excel in standardized testing, ensuring a smoother journey to college admission.

Join us on this transformative journey as we empower the community and foster positive change, one individual at a time.

About the Course:

Our Enrichment Program is a comprehensive 9-week program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in all sections of the SAT. With a focus on thorough coverage, we leave no stone unturned in preparing our students for success. To ensure personalized attention and effective learning, we offer multiple cohorts based on SAT test dates, with each cohort consisting of up to 15 students. In addition, students will get the opportunity to learn from mentors, receive wellness check-ins, and become better prepared for college throughout the program.

Our commitment to expanding educational opportunities doesn't stop there. We have ambitious plans to extend this program to all schools within the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) system, with the aim of empowering even more students to achieve their academic goals.
