Hearts of Empowerment had the pleasure of being invited to the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Detroit, MI. This summit is one of the top events for young leaders, founders, investors, and creators all over the country! Our CEO, Correy Faciane, and our CFO, Jordan Durst, were able to attend and represent our organization.
Our team had an absolute blast meeting and connecting with many like minded individuals. The summit spanned across 4 days:
Day 1 - “Connect”
Day 2 - “Learn”
Day 3 - “Explore”
Day 4 - “Give Back”
Although we were hundreds of miles from home, in standard Hearts of Empowerment fashion, we were able to help out the Detroit community and sponsor two talented students from a non-profit organization in Detroit called t.Lab. “t.Lab” is a non-profit organization which operates accelerated learning centers for students in pre-kindergarten through undergraduate. They are driven to realize extraordinary academic achievements by leveraging a hybrid curriculum including Humanities, Leadership, Liberal Arts, and STEM disciplines.
The team was able to set up a booth at the Forbes Start-up Hub, meet with different founders, attended speaker sessions, work with other non-profits, talked with venture capitalists and investors. We are so grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity and we are excited for how this will shape the future of Hearts of Empowerment!
