Santa’s Winter Wonderland

As we enter the holiday season, may 2020 be remembered for its many high-points, rock-bottoms and valuable lessons. We wish health and happiness to you and your families as we continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are excited to recap the collective partnership of The Alexandria Redevelopment & Housing Authority (ARHA), The PUSO Foundation, MightyMeals and Hearts of Empowerment that took place for a special Christmas giveaway!

Every year, ARHA hosts a Christmas Giveaway for low income families who reside within the City of Alexandria. The Christmas event features a chance for families to receive a warm meal, a picture with Santa Clause, and a chance for their children to pick toys based on their appropriate age group. Due to the effect and constraints COVID-19 has brought, this year's event was in danger of not proceeding due to financial constraints.

In order to ensure Christmas arrived at every home, Hearts of Empowerment stepped in and was able to sponsor the entire event.

In total, 500 families and 1000 children were assisted with the provision of food, toys, supplies, and sanitation.

We are greatly appreciative to have been a part of this event in order to bring a moment of joy to the many families who have been affected this past year.
